Bought a used Yamaha AN1x synth today! Great! The guy told me it was great for bass sounds and acid sounds, so I just replied “oh cool”, I was afraid he refused to sell it to me if I told him I wanted it for Vangelis-like sounds… It kind of smells vinegar right now, becasue I had to remove all his stickers, but sounds great. I’ll look for a replacement knob for the volume, the knob is missing. (Or I can leave it as it is, and if someone has the effrontery to tell me it’s too loud, I can say “sorry, the volume knob is broken”) It’s cheaply built, almost all in plastic, but the sound is gorgeous.

I’m a bit jealous though. Allan has one too, and the name fits him perfectly. I hope there will be an OL1x someday.

I hope Steve Jobs doesn’t release new flat displays anytime soon, because I have 400$CA less in the bank.
