16 months after our last holidays, Cindy and I are back in south of France. Here are some photos. We also spent 3 days in Paris - it’s really crowded in this city, the rush hours are incredible. I met Marko in Paris, finally! He was there for a little something related to Agence Barbare… The surprise will be unvelied at Angoulême… And I’d need a better digital camera. Oh and more talent too.

Apple products are usually very cool. Well, this one will keep your iPod warm during winter.

Last week-end, I went hiking with ex-coworkers at Mount Washington, the highest peak in the northeastern U.S. We climbed 1200m in 4.5 hours. Then we went down in 3.5 hours, I didn’t have any strength left in my legs when going down, it was really hard. Next time, I’ll do some exercise before going there. We have some photos but it’s much more impressive to be there in person. During the descent I said I would never do it again, but now, after a few days, I wouldn’t mind doing it again.

Since last week, I play in a band! With guys from Andromed, the company I’m leaving. We spent 2 years together without knowing we were musicians, played different instruments, and had the same tastes. It’s not a legend that engineers are really bad at communication…

Got a new job… Andromed has been by far the coolest company I’ve worked for, they have invented the electronic stethoscope and some other revolutionary medical technology will come on the market, but it’s a hardware-oriented and DSP-oriented company, and I’m not too good at that. I’ll work on entity extraction, categorization and classification at Convera. Java and regex. The CIA uses Convera’s search engine.
